Paris to Crete and everywhere in between.
This was the first ever, REAL travelling experience. Prior to this trip, I'd only ever been abroad with my parents and when I say abroad, I mean the ultimate package holiday kinda experience. My mother's extremely high maintenance despite what she likes to think. Unlike me, she could never swap her suitcase for a backpack...let alone leave her hair dryer behind. She would most definitely not jump on a train a few minutes before it's about to depart and journey to a tiny town she'd never even heard of (Ventimiglia...it was a very interesting 24hrs to say the least). It's safe to say I've inherited my fathers inquisitiveness and sense of adventure...THANK GOD.
Any way, I just wanted to show the route which introduced me to the cosmopolitan continent of Europe. The real Europe. Not just the 4/5*AI hotel resorts by the beaches of the Med, where which my mother can stay for two weeks religiously every year, but rather the culture soaked cities and the most picturesque sparsely populated countryside throughout France, Italy and Greece.
Yes I did run out of money. Yes I was supposed fly home from Kavala. Yet I actually flew home from Heraklion and yes I did come home early. Why? ...I ran out of £££'s.
Would I change it for the world? ...Not at all.
